about

A writer since conception, Kyle Richard Albers found music much later than most. Learning guitar in his late teens and early twenties, the poetry quickly turned lyrical. Born to songwriters like Dylan, Taylor, and Van Zandt, it is no surprise that he takes on mainstream music with the simplistic approach of old folk legends. Acoustic guitar and harmonica are his weapons of choice, drawing him comparison to Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and a pre-Cardinals Ryan Adams.

With the feel of what independent music is turning to, “Man of Few Words” was recorded in a friend’s bedroom. This being Kyle’s first release, he wanted the music to match the process in which he wrote the songs. Adding simple harmony and rhythm instruments such as piano, organs, and sparse percussion, this album takes simple organic sounds and meshes them with spacious lead guitar fills played by friend Clayton Deering.
